Financial Communication Skills Program
We've spent years working with finance teams who struggle to explain complex concepts clearly. This program tackles that specific challenge—helping professionals communicate financial information in ways that actually make sense to different audiences.

How We Approach Communication Training
Our methods come from actual communication challenges we've observed across dozens of finance departments. Not theoretical exercises—real situations where clarity made the difference.
Context-Based Learning
We start with scenarios you'll actually face. Budget presentations to non-finance executives. Explaining variance reports to operations managers. Walking board members through risk assessments.
- Live role-playing with industry-specific contexts
- Recording and review of your actual presentations
- Peer feedback from other finance professionals
- Iterative refinement based on what worked
Audience Translation Skills
Different stakeholders need different information depth. Your CEO wants implications. Department heads want actionable insights. Your team needs technical details. We teach you to adjust on the fly.
- Mapping stakeholder information needs
- Simplifying without losing accuracy
- Visual communication techniques
- Handling challenging questions confidently
Written Communication Focus
Most finance communication happens in writing—emails, reports, dashboards. We spend significant time making your written communication clearer and more persuasive.
- Email templates that get read and answered
- Executive summary writing workshops
- Data visualization principles
- Commentary that adds value, not clutter
Difficult Conversation Practice
Budget cuts. Project cancellations. Explaining unfavorable results. These conversations require skill beyond basic communication. We practice them extensively.
- Delivering unwelcome news with clarity
- Managing emotional responses professionally
- Maintaining credibility under pressure
- Finding productive paths forward
What Makes This Different
Most communication training treats finance professionals like they need generic presentation skills. We don't. You already understand the numbers—we focus entirely on the translation challenge. Every exercise uses financial scenarios. Every example comes from actual finance departments. And we keep cohorts small so you get meaningful feedback, not generic advice that applies to everyone and no one.
Upcoming Program Schedule
Our next cohort starts in August 2025. We run three sessions throughout the year, each limited to 16 participants. Sessions happen Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6:30-8:30 PM AEST) to accommodate working professionals.
The structure stays consistent—eight weeks of progressive skill building. Early weeks focus on fundamentals. Later weeks tackle complex scenarios and give you space to work on your specific communication challenges.
Cohort 1 - Winter Session
Our winter intake runs from August 5th through September 26th. This timing works well for finance teams coming out of mid-year reviews who've identified communication as a development priority.
Cohort 2 - Spring Session
Spring session starts October 14th and runs through December 9th. This timing lets you apply new skills during year-end planning and budget presentations—perfect for immediate practice.
Cohort 3 - Summer Session
Our first 2026 cohort begins February 3rd and concludes March 31st. Early year timing gives you refined communication skills right as strategic planning and quarterly reviews ramp up.
